KAYTRANADA isn’t letting summer end without a proper dancefloor moment. The Grammy-winning producer and former Hypebeast cover star has announced his new album AIN’T NO DAMN WAY , dropping on all streaming platforms this Friday, August 15.
The reveal came as a surprise when Kaytranada took to Instagram to share the news just days before release. His first full-length since 2024’s Timeless, the project marks “an intentional return to his dance music roots” with a tracklist full of predominantly instrumental cuts designed for the club.
While the full lineup remains under wraps, the lead single “SPACE INVADER” is already out, delivering shimmery synths, retro grooves, and the signature Kaytranada bounce that fuses nostalgia with a forward-looking sound.
Speaking on his inspiration, Kaytranada has always championed the bittersweet energy of upbeat heartbreak tracks. “My favorite disco and boogie songs are often heartbreak anthems that are still upbeat,” he said in a past interview. “You broke my heart, but I’m going to be okay… heavy instrumentation, bass, strings, drums — like seven or eight minutes, giving you a breakdown that feels so emotional.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see how that vision unfolds on AIN’T NO DAMN WAY. The LP promises to blend vibrant instrumentation with the producer’s signature vulnerability, creating a dance experience built as much for emotion as for movement.
