Brooke Hogan’s Public Grief

0

Brooke Hogan says she skipped a public funeral for her father because she wanted to honor him privately in her own way. Sky, Hulk Hogan’s wife, is now calling out what she says are misleading stories about his death.

I feel for Brooke. Grieving is hard enough without the weight of a public name. Her father is remembered for more than just wrestling. The headlines also carry the sex tapes, the racist comments, and the kind of history that forces you to choose between loyalty and accountability. Do you protect the man you knew as a father or speak out and risk criticism for saying too much? It is an impossible choice to navigate while the world watches.

As an editor and a wrestling fan I made the mistake of letting the team post him after those stories came out. His behavior was reprehensible. Some legacies are better left out of the group chat.
