Nicky, part of Dash’s new supergroup Freeway x The Black Guns, works alongside Freeway, guitarist Tash Neal, and drummer Ali Warren. Dash praised her songwriting, hustle, and role in shaping the group’s music.
The comment sparked backlash online, with some calling the comparison tone-deaf and others defending Dash as simply speaking his mind. Regardless, the remark has boosted curiosity around Nicky Licky and the group, whose current single “365” is out now.
