John Leguizamo isn’t holding back when it comes to Dean Cain’s latest career move — or lack of one, depending on who you ask. The Emmy-winning actor took to Instagram to call out the Lois & Clark star after Cain announced he’s volunteering with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Cain recently went public about joining ICE in a volunteer capacity, encouraging others to sign up as the agency pushes to recruit more officers. He’s been vocal about what he sees as unfair criticism toward law enforcement and says he wants to support officers “just doing their jobs.”
Leguizamo sees it differently. In his post, he labeled Cain a “moron” for helping deport undocumented immigrants and added a sharp jab by calling his pronouns “has been.” The message left little room for interpretation — Leguizamo made it clear that volunteering for ICE is, in his view, not a heroic move.
ICE officials have already credited Cain’s involvement with boosting their recruitment numbers, but the public reaction has been split. While Cain is doubling down on his support for the agency, Leguizamo’s response shows that in the court of public opinion, the role of “superhero” isn’t as simple as wearing a badge.
