Back in 2018, on his track “Okra,” Tyler, the Creator rapped, “Tell Tim Chalamet to come get at me.” Now, years later, the rapper’s getting his moment—sharing the screen with the Oscar-nominated actor.

The first trailer for Marty Supreme, the new A24 film from director Josh Safdie, has dropped. Tyler, credited under his real name Tyler Okonma, joins Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Fran Drescher, and more in the table-tennis-centered story of Marty Mauser, played by Chalamet.

Co-written by Safdie and Uncut Gems writer Ronald Bronstein, the movie is set for a December 25 release and features original music by longtime Safdie collaborator Daniel Lopatin. It’s also Safdie’s first solo-directed feature since his 2008 debut The Pleasure of Being Robbed.

While Tyler has acted before—mainly in his own Loiter Squad series and in music videos like his recent “Sugar on My Tongue”—Marty Supreme marks his first major film role. The project also comes as Chalamet’s first big release since portraying Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
