From Our Editor-in-Chief:

GIANT Magazine was born in 2004 as a bold, culture-first publication. It gave voice to artists, creatives, and conversations often overlooked by mainstream media. Under the leadership of its original editors , including Smokey Fontaine and a team of forward-thinking journalists and creatives. GIANT carved out a space for music, fashion, and storytelling that reflected real culture without persmission.

This legacy still matters.

In 2024, I began the process of reviving GIANT. Not as a nostalgia project, but as a continuation, a digital chapter rooted in the same values: sharp editorial, timeless covers, and authentic voices. GIANT has always stood for something bigger. And now, in a new era, it’s time to bring that voice back.

My name is Gizelle Rivera, I come from a background in business, media, and leadership. Like many who grew up reading GIANT, I saw myself in its pages. That influence never left. It’s the reason I pursued media, and it’s the reason I’ve taken on this next chapter , to honor what was and build what’s next.

Thank you to everyone who helped shape GIANT in the early days. I’m here to carry that work forward, with full respect and real intention.

See you at the next cover.
